Title: Principal Officer, Taskforce
Reports To: Head of Unit, Taskforce

Job Summary: Supports the Head of Unit in the management of the security taskforce, ensuring the enforcement of security protocols, supervising site inspections, and preventing unauthorised gold movement across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strategies to mitigate risks associated with illegal gold smuggling and trading, and other security threats.
• Supervise and coordinate all aspects of security operations, including site inspections, patrol activities, and compliance monitoring.
• Lead investigations into security breaches and suspicious activities, collaborating with law enforcement agencies.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with law enforcement agencies, industry stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
• Maintain accurate and detailed reports of security incidents, investigations, and taskforce activities.

Qualification Required & Experience

Skills and Qualification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminology, Law Enforcement, or a related field.
• Minimum of six (6) years’ experience in law enforcement, security operations, or risk management, with proven success in leading and managing security teams.
• Deep understanding of security risk assessment methodologies, surveillance techniques, and enforcement protocols.
• Strong understanding of security intelligence gathering, counter-surveillance measures, and risk deterrence techniques.
• Observant, detail-oriented, and strong situational awareness.
• Proactive, strategic thinker with a decisive problem-solving approach.
