Job Purpose

• To promote the establishment of systematic guidelines and procedures for the development of an integrated and comprehensive educational sector policies and plans to facilitate support interventions for Private Schools

Duties and Responsibilities

• Leads the development and enforcement of policies and standards that guide the development of private schools in Ghana
• Monitor and evaluate the implementation of plans and budgets for support interventions for Private Schools to ensure that performance targets are met and appropriate remedial action is taken promptly to correct any deviations
• Develop a standard framework or policy for the promotion of private schools at all levels and harmonise the plans and programmes for the relevant sub-sectors of agencies
• Establish the appropriate internal structures, human resources, decision-making systems and processes that will continually promote support interventions to Private Schools across the country
• Establish a portfolio of plans and projects with the view of addressing special interest and/or inadequacies in the development of private schools
• Initiate the formulation and review of laws/policies based on successful models and bes practices for support interventions for private schools

Qualification Required & Experience

• Must possess a relevant Master's Degree with research experience from an accredited tertiary institution
• A minimum of 10 years of post qualification relevant working experience
