Description Of Job

Purpose of Job:
Manage UG fleet maintenance as well as parts/tools store and assist the Site Manager in driving cost efficiencies and capital profit through good leadership, strong customer relations and best practice safety, health and environment effectiveness.

The Aftermarket Product Support Supervisor's aim is to provide support for internal and external customers, specifically for the Sandvik UG products. This person requires a deep understanding of relevant equipment in order to provide support through the life of this equipment. This person will also be required to carry out machine commissioning and operator training on n as required basis

Key Performance Areas:

•  Provide product support to Customers in geographic area, during both, in service use of the machine and during rebuilds
•  Assist in Customer technical issues offering support on the product both internally and externally
•  Assist in compiling technical issues offering support on the product both internally and externally
•  Assist in Machine installation, commissioning and financial job management
•  Provide in-house technical training
•  Manage product issues resolution to provide a more reliable product
•  Assist in the rebuild process of machines that are geographically located in area of responsibility
•  Coordinate equipment audits in a timely manner
•  Offer product updates and improvements to the Customer and internally through the PLM for new and existing equipment
•  Perform fault diagnosis and trouble shooting on equipment
•  Assist in product risk assessments
•  Routine Customer liaison seeking feedback and performance management of the Sandvik Product
•  Assist in the life cycle development and maintenance strategy for the Drilling products
•  Development of critical spares and recommended spare lists based on forecast utilization

Qualification Required & Experience

Your Profile:

•  Extensive technical experience with Modular CANBUS systems and Data Drills
•  Extensive hydraulic knowledge including a high level of electrical systems and fault diagnosis capacity
•  Extensive electrical knowledge including a high level of electrical systems and fault diagnostics capability
•  Previous training experience with mobile bolting equipment and maintenance
•  Computer Literacy
•  Exposure to training and facilitation will be an advantage
•  Willingness to travel and work in remote locations for extended period of times is essential
•  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
•  Possession of Ghanaian Drivers License is a must
•  Strong Customer focus
•  An understanding and awareness of safety in a heavy industrial environment

Minimum Requirements:

•  Degree qualified Engineer or trade background with equipment technical experience
•  Minimum, of three (3) years experience in a similar role
•  Experience in maintaining UG products, ability to manage parts store, international experience desirable, particularly in remote challenging environment

Special Requirements:

Successful applicants would be required to work at SMC sites in Ghana and other West African Countries
