Job Summary:

Responsible for day to day production of the individual units, responsible to the head of production

Key Responsibilities

• To ensure that products are produced and stored according to the appropriate documentation in order to obtain the required quality
• To approve the instructions relating to production operations, including in-process controls and to ensure their strick implementation
• To ensure that the production records are evaluated and signed by the designated person
• To check the maintenance of the department, premises and equipment
• To ensure that the appropriate process validations and calibrations of control equipment are performed and recorded and the reports made available
• To ensure that the required initial and continuing training of production personnel is carried out.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Must demonstrate excellent knowledge of the quality production of pharmaceuticals
• Must have served in a similar capacity for at least 5 years
• A pharmacist by profession or similar high qualification
• A master's degree in pharmaceutical science will be desired
• Must provide evidence of good know how in formulations of preferred unit's line of production
• Must be proactive and decisive
