Job Summary

•   The Project Manager will work under the direction of the Director.
•   She/he will he responsible for Project management in SARI
•   Participate in developing and implementing annual work plan and budget
•   Liaise with scientists in the project action sites and monitor overall implementation ot activities with scientists
•   Liaise  and coordinate  with  the  USAID  mission  office through the Activity Manager
•   Coordinate and aggregate data collected during ihe project implementation
•   Analyze data, prepare and submit reports timely to the Director
•   Contribute  in  preparing   regular  financial  report  with Finance Officer at SARI
•   Help in organising workshops/meetings as and when needed
•   Collate all technical reports (weekle bullets, monthly, quarterly mid year and annual) and financial reports for timely submission to Activity Manager
•   Keep records of all items purchased under the project for accountability purposes

Project location: Nyankpala in Tolon District of Northern region

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicant should have the following qualifications and experience:

•   MPhil/MSc in Agricutural Science, Agronomy, Economics, Natural Resources Management or related disciplines
•   At least 5 years of experience in agricultural advisory service provision /extension, community-driven development, rural livelihoods, technology exchange, institutional development with any international development agency.
•   Knowledge of USIAD procedures will be an added advantage
•   Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks with diverse multidisciplinary teams
•   Demonstrate strong analytical and excellent writing skills and ability to publish in peer reviewed international journals
•   Excellent communication skills and fluency in English
•   Have a high sense of initiative within the defined prerogatives
•   Good skills in participatory action research und small-holder farming systems
•   Ready to travel extensively across the three northern regions
•   Skills in the use of various computer software for data management, analysis and reporting
