Job Purpose:
To drive and set in place strategic direction and provide  leadership and recommendations for the implementation of Quality  Management Systems within the Local Marketing Company.

Key Responsibilities:

•   Support the Quality Manager for the QMS (Quality Management System) implementation and monitoring of compliance within the Local Marketing Company
1) Implement and maintain effective Quality Assurance systerns  to ensure that local technical operations are in full compliance with company standards and  policies, and regulatory requirements by performing the following
2) Develop, specify  and approve systems that have an impact on the quality of imported, and, where relevant, contract manufactured products
3) Monitor arid assess quality systems by means of audit and self-inspection
4) Ensuring a quality assurance input into the mam aspects  of the local company operations that influence product quality.
•   Support the Quality Manager for the liaison with supplying sites,  Research & Development and Regional Quality as it relates to approval of repacking activities and resolving Quality issues with the proouct  supplied.
•   Support the Quality Manager to ensure that all colleagues in the  commercial operating units are adequately trained on the procedures and processes that relate to  QMS implementation and regulatory compliance

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Successful completion of relevant qualifications
•   Minimum of 2 year experience within the Pharmaceutical / Consumer Healthcare industries, preferably in the capacity of a senior  quality specialist or a manager
•   Strong understanding of and experience in quality assurance systems particularly in tne areas of product incidents and recalls, change  control, artwork control and audits
•   Knowledge of local / west Africa regulatory requirements with regards  to Quality Management within a commercial company. Good Manufacturing Practices, Good Distribution Practices
•   Good knowledge on effective quality documentation systems
