A reputable organization is seeking to recruit professional and innovative individuals with the imagination and determination to deliver a clear direction and excellent services to its customers/clients and other stakeholders as follows:

Role Title: Regional Manager, Radio Report To: General Manager, Radio

Key Accountabilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day running of the radio station
• Formulate an overall sales and business development strategy in conjunction with the General Manager, Radio General Manager, Commercial
• Establish and maintain a database on prospective and newly won clients/customers
• Plan and carry out sales and marketing activities to meet agreed sales targets, budgets and timescales
• Proactively initiate and engage sales calls and follow-up to new prospects
• Work closely with the commercial team to design and execute pre-agreed strategies built around developing new business growth
• Open business development dialogues with strategic clients/customers
• Responsible for events that drive awareness, engagement and revenue for the station
• Be responsible for the profitability of the station
• Help to determine the station's objectives and to provide leadership and motivation to station staff to ensure they are met
• Ensure that the key objectives of the station are met in terms of ratings, audience share, ranking and revenue
• Responsible for internal communications with staff as well as external communications
• Represent the station at a local level and build viable relationships within the community
• Ensure that the station complies with laws, regulations and industry codes governing radio broadcasting and ensure that complaints are dealt with swiftly
• Create a cohesive and results-oriented leadership team that works across functions for the common good of the station
• Lead a team that drives and supports revenue generation, customer loyalty and development of staff potential
• Work with news and content teams to handle logistical and editorial planning of future and long-term events like high-profile trials, elections, special reports and investigative stories
• Manage the administrative needs of the station

Qualification Required & Experience

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Sales Management or its equivalent from a recognised university
• A Master's Degree in Business Administration would be an added advantage

Technical Skills & Knowledge

• Minimum of 10 years experience in sales, with specific expertise in media sales
• Must have a minimum of 5 years experience at the managerial level
• Must have strong business, technical and creative acumen
• Must have considerable number of years in event planning and management
• Must have experience in digital marketing
• Must possess core understanding and experience of all aspects of radio station management
• Must have computer literacy skills with the ability to use Microsoft Office suites
