The Council of the University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR), Sunyani announces for the information of the general public and interested applicants, vacancy for the following positions. Council hereby invites applications from qualified and interested applicants for the respective positions which would become vacant effective 1st August, 2023.

The Registrar is:

• Secretary to the Office of the Chancellor, Council and the Academic Board
• Responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the affairs of the University
• The Chief Administrative Officer of the University under the Vice-Chancellor

Qualification Required & Experience

The preferred candidate must:

• Possess both professional qualification and relevant postgraduate degree
• Have attained the rank of Deputy Registrar for 3 years in a University or analogous institution or at least 15 years post qualification working experience and an extensive appreciation of the tertiary education sector by 31st October, 2023.
• Have a deep appreciation of the academic working environment of the University of Energy and Natural Resources and its Act and Statutes
• Have good writing skills, eye for details, an appreciable knowledge of ICT and a good grasp of administrative procedures
• Have considerable organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Have unquestionable integrity, a high sense of morality, maturity and drive for sound and imprtial judgment

Terms of Appointment

The appointment, which is full-time, shall be for 5 years in the first instance and may be subject to renewal for another term of up to 5 years but not beyond the retiring age of 60 years. The successful applicant must be able to serve the full term of 5 years before attaining the compuslory statutory retirement age of 60 years
