Job Vacancy For Regulatory Officer – Nuclear Material Accounting



The Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NRA) is an independent regulatory body established by the NRA Act, 2015 (Act 895) and began operations in January 2016. The NRA has a statutory responsibility for regulating civilian use of nuclear and other radioactive materials in medicine,
industry, agriculture, education and research in Ghana. This is to ensure the protection of people and the environment from the harmful effects of radiation.

The NRA is seeking to recruit to fill various positions in its organisational structure and hereby invites qualified Ghanaians to apply for the position of Regulatory Officer – Nuclear Material Accounting

Job Summary

β€’ This position will ensure Ghana’s compliance with international legal requirement while working with nuclear materials users and/holders to fulfil their required obligations.
β€’ The candidate will be responsible for verification of nuclear material inventory within the country, analysing and reporting nuclear material inventory data, preparing inventory reports, maintaining ledgers, monitoring imports and exports of nuclear materials. He/She will also be
involved in regulation and guidelines development.

Qualification Required & Experience

β€’ Minimum of Masters in applied physics, nuclear engineering, radiochemistry or other related subjects.

Location: Kwabenya, Accra
