Job Vacancy For Reporting Officer



JOB FUNCTION:

• The successful candidate will join the Finance Department as a Reporting Officer. This individual will report to the Head of Financial Reporting and collaborate closely with the Financial Reporting Manager to ensure the timely provision of accurate financial reports for all stakeholders. Additionally, the candidate will be responsible for managing all transactional aspects of financial reporting, consistently meeting all agreed-upon timelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue reports, including variance analysis and forecasts.
• Responsible for monthly recognition of revenues in line with agreed financial and management reporting frameworks
• Maintaining a register of all products/services with respect to their basic description from a commercial perspective, charging mechanics on the billing systems and the accounting treatment.
• Work closely with sales, operations, and other departments to ensure alignment on revenue-related matters.
• Analyze revenue data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential risks.
• Review, investigate, and correct errors and inconsistencies in financial entries, documents and reports.
• Reconciliation of intercompany Balances with other operations ensuring all variances are resolved.
• Provide training and support to staff on revenue recognition policies and procedures.
• Recommend and implement improvements to revenue processes for efficiency and accuracy and maintain thorough documentation of revenue transactions and accounting processes.
• Monitor employee advance/loan accounts ensuring timely retirement or recovery
• Prepare month-end closing timetable, setting timelines for performance of key activities and monitoring compliance with these timelines
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and assist in internal and external audits.
• To maintain compliance with company policies/controls in the area assigned, proactively seeking to solve issues faced.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• ACCA, CIMA or ICAG (Mid-Level Qualification)
• 3-4 years’ work experience in a similar role

• Hard working, self-motivated and ability work well under pressure
• Organized and detail oriented
• Adequate knowledge in IFRS especially in the areas of provisions
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Worked with ERP (Oracle System) for data uploading purposes
• Advanced Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft products.
