The Company would like to invite suitably qualified Candidates to apply for the position above. Please note these are TEMPORARY position for the duration of a construction project.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate's responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

•  Overseeing and approving the erection of all scaffold on site
•  Inspecting all scaffolds erected within the boundaries of company plant and to ensure they are suitable for safe use by others
•  Inspecting & assessing the condition of the scaffolding materials and approve them for assembly
•  Ensure the compliance with the correct standards applicable to scaffold erection
•  Maintaining a record of the condition of all scaffolding materials and assemblies to ensure they are maintained correctly and dispose
•  Organising and directing the day-to-day scaffolding activities on site as required
•  Provide technical advice on scaffolding works and participate in work requiring higher level skills
•  Ensure that all works are executed to high standards and meet all required safety standards

Qualification Required & Experience

Relevant qualification, certificates and experience as scaffold erector on mining and construction projects.

•  Scaffold erectors' certificate
•  Background in the electrical & Instrumentation industry will be an added advantage

Work Experience:

•  5 years experience in the erection, modification and dismantling of scaffolding
•  2-5 yrs experience as a scaffold erector
•  Working knowledge of SANS 10085-1:2004
•  Sufficient knowledge of the OHS Act to ensure work team safety

Technical Skills:

•  Knowledge of the applications and limitations of different types of scaffolding
