Job Description

•Student Support: Providing individual and group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, or personal challenges like trauma, bullying, or stress.
•Academic Guidance: Assisting students with goal setting, study skills, and interventions for academic progress.
•Career Counseling: Conducting assessments to help students identify talents and interests, and providing guidance on post-secondary pathways.
•Crisis Intervention: Responding to immediate distress and providing support during emergencies.Collaboration: Working with teachers and parents to implement intervention strategies and student well-being programs.Preventive •Education: Developing workshops on topics such as mental health awareness, drug abuse prevention, and healthy relationships.

Qualification Required & Experience

•Education: Minimum: A Bachelor’s degree in Guidance and Counseling, Psychology, or Education is typically required for entry-level roles.
•Advanced: Many reputable schools, particularly at the secondary or international level, require a Master’s degree in School Counseling or Counseling Psychology.

Skills:

•Strong interpersonal communication, computer literacy, and an understanding of ethical and legal guidelines related to mental health.
