A reputable Adventist educational institution (up to J.H.S. level) is seeking to recruit dynamic, results-oriented and experienced Academic and Administrative professionals to fill the following vacant position:- School Headmaster(Marked: SHM)

The Position

The Headmaster is the Academic and Administrative Head and exercises general disciplinary functions over both staff and students in accordance with the statutes and regulations of the GES and SDA Church.

The ideal candidate shall promote excellence in academic development and offer high level leadership to both staff and pupils. He/she is to initiate new directions and implement corporate strategies for the academic and infrastructure development of the institution. The successful candidate will report to the School Board.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Must have a minimum qualification of a Degree in Education or its equivalent from a recognised University
•  A Master's degree will be an advantage
•  Must have wide experience and knowledge in Basic and secondary education administration
•  Must be computer literate
•  Must have at least (15) years working experience in a senior management level of an educational institution
•  Must be forty-five (45) years old

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate shall:

•  Oversee the general management and administrative functions of the school
•  Safeguard the physical and financial assets of the school
•  Ensure high level of discipline among staff and pupils of the school
•  Implement and achieve the strategic objectives of the board

Term Of Appointment

The appointment is full time, but shall be for an initial period of two (2) years, subject to renewal based on achievement of key performance targets
