Job Vacancy For Senior Accounts Officer



Job Summary

• The successful candidate will have a strong foundation in financial accounting and billing & credit control
• He/She will play a critical role in managing client billing cycles, ensuring timely collection of receivables, reconciling accounts and supporting the overall financial reporting process
• A thorough understanding of P&L statements, balance sheet management, and Ghanaian tax regulations is essential

Key Responsibilities

Billing & Credit Control

• Generate and issue accurate and timely client invoices in line with contract terms
• Track outstanding receivables and follow up with clients to ensure timely payments
• Develop and enforce effective credit policies and procedures to minimize financial risk
• Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies or disputes
• Liaise with medical supply services and operations teams to resolve billing or payment-related issues

Accounting & Financial Reporting

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including accruals and ledger adjustments
• Prepare and analyse profit & loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets for accuracy and integrity
• Maintain up-to-date general ledger ledger entries and ensure accounting records are compliant with IFRS and local accounting standards.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Monitor and report on company cash flow and working capital

Tax & Compliance

• Ensure accurate filing and timely payment of statutory taxes, including VAT, PAYE, withholding Tax and Corporate income Tax
• Prepare tax schedules and support external audits and tax inspections
• Maintain compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) regulations

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in billing, credit control and general accounting
• Strong knowledge of Ghanaian tax laws and regulations. Proficient in accounting software (e.g, Sage 300). Advanced excel skills
