A world class ICT company that specializes in Enterprise Application Development is seeking to recruit qualified and experienced persons for the following position:- Senior Applications Developer

Overall Purpose

•  As a Senior Applications Developer you will be responsible for supporting functional and technical application design, development, testing, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of complex multi-tier web-based solutions
•  Develop procedures for solutions of business problems, or for segments of complex and difficult problems or systems.
•  Plans the computation or processes necessary for computer solutions with a high level of reliability and execution speed
•  All job duties and responsibilities must be carried out in compliance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements
•  The applicant must have strong communications, customer service, troubleshooting, and organizational skills and the ability to complete assigned work with minimal instruction and supervision.
•  This position is for normal working hours and will require some evening and weekend hours to support off-hour upgrades and maintenance cycles

Education Requirements

•  BA/BS/BEng (CS, IS, MIS or related field); MS/MEng (CS, IS, MIS or related field) preferred

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Minimum of five years of experience application/web application development and production support
•  Experience with objective-oriented principles, application design, development methodologies, service-oriented architecture
•  3+ years relevant experience
•  Experience with client-side technologies, including HTML, XSL, Javascript, Web Services (XML, SOAP, WSDL and UDDI), AJAX, CSS
•  Programming experienc in database (MySQL, PostgresSQL, SQL Sever, Oracle)
•  Experience writing and optimising stored procedures and Triggers
•  Programming experience in PHP, Java, Python, Perl
•  Understanding of web application security techniques
•  Experience developing in Microsoft.NET framework (.NET environment)
•  Strong written and verbal communications skills
•  Experience leading a team and meeting deadlines
•  Demonstrated proficiency with all aspects of the software development process including requirements gathering, design and implementation, debugging and testing
•  Knowledge or experienc with .NET / C / ASP.NET / Visual Studio desirable
•  Knowledge of or experience with Visual Studio .NET desirable
•  Experience with exposing & consuming web services in .NET

Application Development Experience Using:

•  SharePoint, Alfresco, Process Maker, BonitaSoft Jasper Reports Pentaho, OpenERP
•  Developing mobile applications or optimising web sites for mobile/tablet displays
•  Experience with code repositories like Subversion
•  Experience with Microsoft IIS and Apache
