Job summary
•To lead the development and execution of MTN Ghana’s Data and Devices strategy, ensuring end-to-end lifecycle management of devices and data. The role drives innovation across traditional and emerging levers, enhances customer lifetime value, and secures competitive advantage through affordability, partnerships, and customer-centric solutions.
•The Senior Manager ensures alignment with MTN Ghana’s business objectives, profitability targets, and evolving digital market demands.

Key Tasks:
Strategic Perspective
•Develop and implement an end-to-end device and data lifecycle strategy to maximize financial benefits and customer value.
•Build next-generation partnership models with OEMs and digital ecosystem players.
•Champion customer-centric culture and embed data-driven decision-making across the organization.
•Provide input into strategic pricing guidelines, bundles, and go-to-market strategies.
•Identify emerging technologies and integrate them into product and service offerings.
Operational Perspective
•Oversee device portfolio design and execution as a source of competitive advantage.
•Lead market research programs with CVM and Commercial teams to inform product development.
•Drive campaign development consistent with MTN’s value propositions.
•Monitor performance of Data & Devices unit, ensuring delivery of business objectives.
•Manage vendor relationships and ensure operational efficiency in supply chain and distribution.
Financial Perspective
•Develop innovative financing options to reduce the capital burden of smartphones.
•Drive affordability initiatives to increase adoption and customer stickiness.
•Monitor and report on budgets, forecasts, and financial metrics to ensure EBITDA growth.
•Identify opportunities for volume purchasing and negotiate price breaks.
•Ensure fiscal responsibility and optimize cost structures for sustainable profitability.
Governance & Risk Perspective
•Provide advice on governance and best practices in device and client experience.
•Ensure compliance with information security policies and promote continual improvement.
•Develop contingency plans to address performance shortfalls or market disruptions.
•Establish decision models and analytics frameworks to support risk-aware decision-making.
•Monitor compliance with business risk and reputation management standards
Qualification Required & Experience
Education:
•A bachelor’s degree in marketing, Engineering, Computer Science, Economics or a related field of study.
•Marketing professional certification or post graduate qualification in a Business or Commercial related field is an added advantage
Experience:
•8 years Data & Devices Management experience.
•Technology, OEM sales at the leadership level an advantage. A minimum of 5 Years at Managerial Level with exposure to Data & Devices management
•Proven experience in strategic partnerships management, marketing management, market research, sales and channel management
Knowledge / Technical Competencies
•Device Lifecycle Management: Knowledge of end-to-end device lifecycle (procurement, distribution, financing, after-sales, recycling).
•Digital Ecosystem Integration: Experience in integrating diverse technologies (IoT, AI, cloud, mobile money) into consumer offerings.
•Cybersecurity & Data Integrity: Strong understanding of information security, compliance, and data governance.
•Financial Acumen: Ability to develop innovative financing models, manage budgets, and optimize cost structures.
•Stakeholders, Partnership & Vendor Management: Skilled in negotiating and managing OEMs, technology partners and internal and external stakeholders
•Market Research & Customer Insights: Proficiency in consumer analytics, segmentation, and value proposition design.
•Product Development & GTM Strategy: Ability to translate insights into device/data products and execute go-to-market plans.
•Project & Quality Management: Strong background in managing complex projects, ensuring delivery on time and within scope.
•Sustainability Competence: Knowledge of green device lifecycle practices (recycling, e-waste management, eco-friendly procurement).
•Digital Customer Experience: A good knowledge of CX design, omnichannel engagement, and personalization using data.
•Data Monetization: Ability to identify and develop new revenue streams from data insights and partnerships.
•Global Market Awareness: Understanding of international device/data trends and ability to localize strategies for Ghana.
•Decision Modelling & Business Analytics: A good knowledge and understanding of decision frameworks, scenario modelling, and risk analysis.
