Title: Senior Officer, Monitoring & Inspection
Reports To: Principal Officer, Inspection
Job Summary: Provides support in conducting field verifications, reviewing gold documentation, and ensuring compliance with the organisation’s sourcing and trade policies.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct inspections across the gold value chain, from mining sites to export points, ensuring compliance with the regulatory framework.
• Assess operations of mining firms, refineries, and trading entities for adherence to industry standards and government policies.
• Investigate incidents of illegal gold trading, smuggling, and environmental violations.
• Work with security agencies to track and address non-compliance within the gold sector.
• Support the development of real-time monitoring systems for tracking gold production, movement, and trade.
Qualification Required & Experience
Skills and Qualification Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering, Regulatory Compliance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in regulatory compliance, monitoring, or audit-related roles in the mining sector.
• Meticulous and detail-focused in compliance monitoring and reporting.
• Ethical and principled in handling compliance issues and investigations.
• Strong problem-solving skills in resolving compliance-related challenges.
• Effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
• Resilient and adaptable in field operations and regulatory engagements.
