Job Vacancy For Senior Procurement & Quantity Surveyor Officer



Job Purpose

• The Senior Procurement Officer is responsible for managing the procurement of goods, services, and works, ensuring value for money, compliance with company policies, and timely delivery.
• The role requires a strong understanding of construction procurement, contracts, and cost management, supported by a background in Quantity Surveying (QS).

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement plans in line with project and organizational requirements including maintaining strong relationship with key suppliers and timely delivery of high-quality goods and services.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, contractors, and service providers
• Prepare and review tender documents, contracts, and purchase orders
• Analyze costs, budgets, and supplier pricing to ensure cost efficiency and value for money • Coordinate with project, finance, and QS teams to support project delivery
• Monitor supplier performance and manage contractual obligations
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior procurement staff.
• Prepare procurement reports in the areas of but not limited to metrics, supplier performance and cost saving and maintain accurate records
• Provide QS services where required.

• Cost Savings: Achieve targeted cost savings or cost avoidance through effective sourcing and negotiation
• Procurement Cycle Time: Percentage of procurements completed within agreed timelines
• Budget Compliance: Percentage of procurement activities delivered within approved budgets
• Supplier Performance: Supplier on-time delivery rate and quality compliance
• Tender Effectiveness: Number of tenders completed in line with procurement plans and evaluation criteria
• Contract Compliance: Percentage of contracts managed without non-compliance issues or disputes
• Audit Outcomes: Number of procurement related audit findings or exceptions
• Stakeholder Satisfaction: Feedback from internal stakeholders (projects, finance, QS teams)

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Background or experience in Quantity Surveying is an added advantage
• Experience in using the ERP system is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, preferably within construction or infrastructure projects
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills
