Job Summary

As its subsidiary, Tullow Ghana Limited is looking to enhance its cadre of senior professionals as follows:

Roles and Responsibilities:

•  Provides high quality geological evaluations, reservoir and well correlations to the Ghana Development Team;
•  Support infill planning studies and well drilling operations;
•  Define data acquisition programmes, including wireline, LWD, coring and fluid sampling;
•  Generate 3D geocellular models with Petrel software for dynamic reservoir simulation and volumetric assessments;
•  Define and supervise in-house and external geological studies;
•  Help maintain geological database;
•  Mentor and train junior geologists;
•  Provide technical guidance and assistance to other teams, and participate in major projects as required;
•  Represent the company in Government and Partners meetings

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Masters Degree in Petroleum Geology or related discipline;
•  15+ experience in Oil and Gas industry with strong background in development geology;
•  Extensive experience in the Oil and Gas industry, working as a Reservoir/Development Geologist with an Operating Company;
•  Skilled user of typical geoscience software, including Petrel, Interactive Petrophysics or Techlog;
•  Strong operational geology skills and experience;
•  Ideally used to international new country environments;
•  Solid communication skills high - verbal and written
