Summary:
•The role is pivotal in driving the growth and operational effectiveness of Telecel’s SME and SOHO sales initiatives across assigned regions within the TBS market. The incumbent will lead, recruit, and manage high-performing teams across Mobile, Fixed Broadband (FBB), and Fixed Voice & Data channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives and risk mitigation strategies. Responsible for executing targeted sales activities across SMEs, SOHOs, gated communities, and commercial properties, the role demands strategic leadership, market insight, and operational coordination. The position also plays a key part in shaping commercial strategies, enhancing indirect channel performance, and contributing to product development and go-to-market execution. Regular reporting to the Regional Head ensures transparency and strategic direction, while continuous market analysis and innovation support long-term competitiveness and profitability in a dynamic telecoms landscape.
Responsibilities:
•Recruit, manage, and mentor Mobile, FBB, and Fixed Voice & Data sales teams (including High Value Account Managers, Sales Contractors, and Freelancers) in the SME and SOHO segments within assigned regions.
•Plan and execute sales strategies targeting SMEs, SOHOs, gated communities, and commercial establishments to meet Telecel Business targets.
•Lead and drive team performance to achieve sales, revenue, and commercial KPIs across all product lines.
•Oversee day-to-day sales operations, ensuring alignment with business processes and operational excellence.
•Provide timely and actionable market, trade, and competitive insights to support strategic decision-making at the management level.
•Contribute to product development, proof-of-concept (POC) processes, and go-to-market deployment for new offerings.
•Report team performance and activities to the Regional Head on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to ensure strategic clarity and progress tracking.
•Collaborate with key stakeholders (COPs, CBU, FCoE, etc.) to design and refine commercial strategies that maximize profitability across complex SME and SOHO customer segments.
•Develop and implement an indirect channel strategy and route-to-market plans to unlock value from existing corporate relationships.
•Lead customer visits and coordinate sales negotiations in alignment with business principles and service standards.
•Champion innovation by developing internal tools and processes that support the evolution of FBB and Fixed Voice services in response to changing SME customer needs.
•Apply competitor and industry insights to shape differentiated sales approaches that enhance market share, revenue, and profitability.
Qualification Required & Experience
Requirements:
•Proven experience in telecoms or IT-related services, with a strong track record in sales leadership.
•First degree in Telecommunications, Business Management, or B. Com (Essential).
•Postgraduate business qualification (e.g., MBA or equivalent) preferred.
•5+ years of relevant mid-management experience in a sales or commercial leadership role.
•Demonstrated success in customer-facing environments with a focus on high-value accounts.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint (Essential).
•Strong people management and team leadership capabilities.
•Experience in selling dedicated internet, broadband, fixed lines, and mobile solutions.
•Track record in coordinating sales and marketing activations to drive customer engagement and revenue.
