The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) - is a public-benefit federal enterprise working in more than 100 countries worldwide. Project Brief:

• Digital Transformation for inclusive Entrepreneurship in Ghana, DTEG. The project improves the framework conditions for sustainable and inclusive economic development for micro and small women led enterprises.
• The aim is improving the conditions for digital transformation and digital services for women and strengthening digital skills.
• The implementation is in six selected regions with a gender transformative approach. Achieving better business conditions for women-led micro- enterprises and policy advisory on regional and national level.

Scope of Role:

• The position holder will support the Head of Project and the management team of DTEG regarding the strategic development, management, and operational execution of the program.
• S/he does so through the provision of concepts, background information, briefings, and developing communication instruments for the management team of DTEG.
• Strong knowledge of gender transformative approaches as well as digital skills and tools are required.
• Sensitivity in cooperation with civil society women's organizations and understanding for the communication of digital learning content is important. Cooperation with partners and stakeholders in Tamale (Upper West and North Regions).

Tasks:

• Work in a team of advisors to support the implementation of projects activities in Accra and selected regions in Ghana,
• Draft paper, statements, presentations, and briefing documents in the area on digitalization, gender, and employment development of micro – companies,
• Conception and organization of events, workshops, and meetings
• Advise of partners and stakeholders in questions of digitalization and gender
• Support the development of proposals, and the implementation of tenders,
• Development of terms of reference
• Cooperation with and coordination of consultants
• Preparation of presentations in power point,
• Assistance to the management team
• Documentation and knowledge management
• Conduct of financial and administrative processes of GIZ
• Networking and cooperation with partner institutions and other relevant stakeholders,

Qualifications Required & Experience

• Master’s, BSc degree in social sciences, Management or Business Administration with an emphasis on ICT, or any other project
related field and a minimum of three years’ work experience in one of the fields,
• Work experience with public sector institutions and experience in the field of working with private company’s and civil society organization.
• Excellent knowledge of gender related issues.
• Strong knowledge of ICT technologies, ICT for development related topics, international dialogue on digital for development.
• Excellent team-working and communication skills as well as excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Excellent knowledge of English, knowledge of German is an asset,
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, MS Teams, Word, Excel & Power Point.
• Ability to work under pressure of deadlines, high degree of flexibility, attention to detail.
• Willingness to travel in the country.
