Job Vacancy For Technical Officer



A reputable research and public oversight organisation in Ghana's oil and gas sector invites applications for employment for the under listed position

Job Purpose:

Support the implementation of programmes and activities and be responsible for disseminating of the organisation's reports and other information generated through a variety of channels

Main Duties:

Programme design and implementation

•   Contribute to the designing, planning and implementation of the organisatlon's programmes and projects
•   Provide support for the implementation of donor funded projects, producing draft project reports for finalising by Technical Manager

Planning and Budgeting

•   Lead on the preparation and implementation of the organisation's dissemination plan for its reports

Fundraising and donor contract management

•   Contribute to the development of Grant proposals
•   Support the preparation of donor reports to ensure timely submission

Research and development

•   Assist Technical Manager in researching, gathering and analysing information on the oil and gas industry for the organisation
•   Assist Technical Manager in the preparation of the organisation's reports

Communication and media relations

•   Lead on the organisation's media engagement activities, promoting access and effective collaboration
•   Manage the organisation's website and other information resources and platforms, ensuring data is up to date
•   Prepare and supervise the production of publicity materials such as brochures, leaflet, info graphics etc.
•   Organise and report on the organisation's dissemination activities capturing lessons learnt and offering appropriate recommendation
•   Collate and analyse media coverage of the organisation's activities

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A degree in Economics/Mathematics or Statistics / Journalism or other related field
•   + 2 years' relevant experience;
•   Knowledge in the Oil and Gas Sector;
•   Extensive experience in Communication is an added advantage
•   Experience in grant management
•   Good communications skills - both written and oral
•   Strong English language skills required
•   Strong IT Skills
