Job Vacancy For Training and Development Coordinator At Chirano Gold Mines Limited



Key Responsibility:
The Training and Development Coordinator work with established programmes in an organization to ensure that all workers receive the knowledge to perform their jobs successfully.

The coordinator must also develop new training programmes or update existing programmes for new work methods and equipment. He must work with Departmental Heads and Supervisory staff to develop individual training plans for employees.

The job involves putting together training manuals to be used to help new employees familiarize themselves with the new position.

•  To manage all logistical and administrative work needed to ensure instructor-led and online training programmes run successfully and to ensure that both the trainer and the participants come on time to a prepared facility with all the training materials and equipment in place and ready for use.
•  Responsible for coordinating training programmes of all the departments and keeping a database of each function and as well as ensuring that Production training coordinators adhere to their training plans proposed.
•  The Coordinator is also responsible for making travel arrangements for the trainer and participants where necessary, emailing training pre-work and class reminder to participants. He must ensure to arrange or order training materials, and arrange catering for snack breaks.
•  The Coordinator must keep accurate data of all training contracts, materials, and gather and analyze evaluation documents and attendance for each programme.
•  The position entails scheduling courses and liaising with Departmental Heads to enroll the right participants for the programme. This means managing the training calendar of the company in a timely manner. He must set up training room
•  The job entails monitoring, evaluating and recording training activities and determining the training effectiveness. The coordinator is to liaise with the departmental heads to assess the training needs of staff and organize, develop or obtain new training programmes to stand the test of time.
•  The coordinator must put up a training budget for the year and monitor the training cost to ensure that the company stays within budget.
•  As part of talent management process, the Coordinator will liaise with Departmental Heads to identify high potential employees, key employees and emerging talents and come up with a development programme to develop and retain the core competencies identified.
•  The coordinator should in consultation with Heads of Department outline a succession plan for the three talents mentioned above and draw training programmes that will result in a mutual benefit for both the Company and the successors.
•  The Coordinator must ensure that the company’s policy on training is strictly adhered to and monitor bond terms served by employees who benefit from external academic sponsorships.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Bachelor degree in the humanities, education or any related field
•  A minimum of four  years working experience in a mining organization or a multi-national Company
•  Must possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively
•  Must be conversant with computer software applications such as advance excel, Microsoft  word, power point etc
•  Technical Training coordination experience is an added advantage
•  MPhil degree will be an added advantage
