Description Of Job

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above position in the University.


•  General Administration of the Transport Unit of the University with the responsibility for repairs, maintenance and smooth running of the University's fleet of vehicles
•  Responsibilities for training, efficiency and discipline of subordinate staff

Qualification Required & Experience

•  Must have had a minimum of six (6) years' working experience in the grade of Principal Assistant Transport Officer in the University or an analogous institution plus Final Certificate of the City and Guilds of London Institute in Transport Management or Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering; or
•  Higher National Diploma or its equivalent in Transport Management or Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. In addition, they must have had 14 years' practical experience in a position of responsibility within a large transport organization; or
•  A relevant bachelor's degree awarded by a recognized University with at least nine (9) years' working experience
•  In all cases, applicants must have a driver's license F1, F2, F3
