Job Vacancy For UI/UX Manager



JOB PURPOSE

• The UI/UX Manager will shape the visual and interaction layer of both external-facing (customer) and internal-facing (employee) products - ensuring they are not only functional and intuitive, but also emotionally resonant and frictionless to use.
• As a key member of the product delivery team, the UI/UX Manager will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Process Designers to translate strategy, user insight, and process logic into high-impact interfaces. They will advocate for usability, accessibility, and design excellence across platforms, devices, and journeys.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

User Research & Journey Understanding

• Conduct or interpret discovery research to understand user behaviors, pain points, and context.
• Map user journeys, task flows, and personas to anchor design in real-world usage.
• Collaborate with frontline teams and stakeholders to surface nuanced user needs.

Interface & Experience Design

• Design high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, and UI specifications across web, mobile, USSD, and internal platforms.
• Apply design systems and accessibility principles to ensure consistency, clarity, and inclusivity.
• Translate workflows, service blueprints, and user stories into intuitive interactions and layouts.
• Drive simplicity, visual harmony, and intuitive navigation through thoughtful design craft.

Agile Product Development

• Work closely with Product Managers to co-define MVPs and prioritize design iterations based on user and business value.
• Collaborate with software engineers to hand off and support implementation of UI designs, ensuring fidelity and feasibility.
• Participate in agile rituals (standups, retros, sprint planning) and contribute to shared delivery rhythm.

Feedback Loops & Iteration

• Conduct usability testing and synthesize feedback into actionable design improvements.
• Analyze usage data (heatmaps, click paths, drop-offs) to identify pain points and refine UX.
• Maintain a feedback loop with end users, developers, and product owners for continuous design evolution.

Design System & Standards Stewardship

• Contribute to the development and evolution of the enterprise design system.
• Ensure alignment with brand guidelines, accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG), and responsive design principles.
• Advocate for visual and interaction consistency across the product ecosystem.

Qualification Required & Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or related field.
• Certifications in UX/UI, Human-Centered Design, or Service Design are a plus.

Experience and Proficiency

• Proven experience designing for digital products across web, mobile, and/or USSD.
• Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Miro, Lucidchart, Confluence).
• Demonstrated track record of delivering user-centered designs that solve real problems and improve outcomes.
• Experience collaborating in cross-functional squads with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders.
