Job Vacancy For Warehouse and Logistics Manager



A renowned Engineering Project Management company is looking for a Warehouse and Logistics Manager to manage and oversee all its warehouse assets and materials.

The Warehouse and Logistics Manager is responsible for receiving, keeping safe custody, issuing and accounting for materials and assets.

As a Warehouse and Logistics Manager, your duties include but are not limited to the following:

•   Receiving and issuing of materials in and out of the Warehouse.
•   Complying with national requirements on warehousing, material handling, and shipping by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions
•   Safeguarding warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
•   Preparing daily stock report
•   Controlling inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
•   Maintaining physical conditions of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement
•   Ensuring proper maintenance and upkeep of material handling equipment in the warehouse
•   Ensuring transfer of damaged, obsolete stock from stores to quarantine location for quality checking before deciding on its usage or disposal and keeping system updated accordingly.
•   Achieving financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
•   Completing warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results.
•   Maintaining warehouse staff by orienting, and training employees.
•   Maintaining job results of warehouse staff by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.

Qualification Required & Experience

The candidate must;

•   Have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Warehousing, Supply Chain and Logistics Management
•   Have a minimum of 5 years’ working experience in a similar position
•   Be Computer Literate
•   Have demonstrated ability to provide leadership and guidance to staff
•   Be a team player, a good negotiator with demonstrated ability to motivate staff and encourage participation in the decision-making process.
•   Have a strong analytical, supervisory, interpersonal and communication skills.
•   Be energetic, proactive, dedicated, performance- driven and capable of working under stress.
•   Have good writing skills for report writing
