Job Summary

PURPOSE:

•  To manage inventories of all materials and supplies necessary to support the operational
•  needs of  NGGL compliance with established policies and procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

•  Manage the receipt, issuance and shipment of materials and supplies ensuring that appropriate documentation and authorizations are prepared and maintained to accurately record such transactions.
•  Assign storage locations, store materials and document storage of materials and supplies in accordance with the inventory system.
•  Maintain and conduct physical inventories of materials and supplies.
•  Report the status of warehousing activities to the Management on a regular basis.
•  Coordinate requests for new/additional inventory, replacement inventory and
•  immediate required material with Inventory Control and other operating departments. Coordinate and maintain adequate stock levels, maintain records and issue as required. Respond immediately to the emergency requirements of equipment breakdowns to support operational requirements.
•  Maintain a quality Health and Safety program and record retention for the warehouse function in accordance with established company policy and procedure. Provide a safe and productive work environment for employees.
•  Coordinate removal of obsolete stock and stock level adjustments with Inventory Control and operating departments.
•  Coordinate and administer the shipping and receiving functions between all operational locations and departments.
•  Possess superior knowledge and skills to effectively utilize the Materials Management system.

Qualification Required & Experience

•  College degree, and/or A.P.P. certification and a minimum of five years of increasingly
•  responsible purchasing/buyer/materials experience in a mining environment.
•  Must possess and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and pay close attention to details.
•  Understand warehouse functions and responsibilities and inventory management experience desired.
•  Have a working knowledge of contracting practices and documentation.
•  Demonstrated analytical skills, knowledge of all warehouse functional areas. Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
•  Must possess and demonstrate high ethical and professional standards in all dealings. Have a working knowledge of MS office programs
