A reputable furniture manufacturing company located in Accra is looking for qualified individuals to apply for the position of Furniture Designer. The role holder will be responsible for conceptualizing and designing a portfolio of products which include office furniture, kitchen and bedroom furniture and providing design guidelines for projects undertaken by the company.

The Furniture Designer role will also provide expert home / site measure service to customers.

Main Responsibilities

• To visit customers' premises / home /site and provide a professional space measure service.
• Complete site / home survey accurately and record all details on site measure pad.
• Transfer measurements to planner and upload site measure sheet into system.
• Provide space planning and design conceptualization.
• Generate 2D & 3D computerized perspective visuals / presentation drawings / technical drawings
• Provide furniture design for projects undertaken by the company
• Liaise with production manager or project manager for signer approval of plan
• Feedback to production manager of any amendments required

Qualification Required & Experience

• Minimum Diploma in design discipline or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of work experience in commercial projects and conducting home measures.
• Ability to conceptualize with good knowledge in construction drawings and detailing.
• Knowledge in 3D studio Max, Vray, Autocad, Photoshop or related software to render detailed furniture visuals & layout plans.
• Proactive and meticulous work attitude with a keen eye for details
• Good client servicing and communication skills & fluent in English to liaise with clients / contractors / suppliers
• Ability to work independently, efficiently and responsibly
