A reputable company in the oil and gas industry is seeking a qualified and competent individual who meets the requirements to apply for the following role:- General Manager, Transmission

Job Purpose:

•   The General Manager, Transmission is responsible for the distribution of fuel products in a secure, safe and profitability manner throughout the country

Key Responsibilities

•   Serve as the company's foremost expert in strategic planning for the most cost effective and efficient distribution of petroleum products
•   Oversight responsibility for all logistics Planning activities
•   Champion new system development projects to improve overall logistics capabilities
•   Drive key initiatives to reduce overall cycle time and reduce cost of operations
•   Develop strategies to ensure that there are no product loss in transmission within accepted international limits
•   Develop key metrics and management dashboards to evaluate, measure and improve overall transmission performance
•   Establishing and maintaining a training program for all Transmission Management staff so as to ensure the continuing development of technical and other skills etc.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related field
•   Master's Degree in Engineering or logistics
•   Supply Chain Certification will be a plus
•   15 years working experience with 8 plus years of related professional experience
•   Has fundamental understanding of operational principles and processes and has ability to oversee their implementation
•   Demonstrated safety leadership and promoting a safety culture amongst all staff
•   Demonstrated ability of managing cost performance, supply/demand forecasting and distribution execution
•   Ability to effectively influence at all levels both internally and externally
•   Demonstrated ability to overseeing vendor relationships (to include business reviews, cost and risk containment, and quality service)
•   Demonstrated financial management & negotiation skills
•   Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service, driving complex work efforts and delivering results
•   Strong communications skills-oral, written and presentation
