For over three decades, World Vision has been working with rural communities in all 10 Administrative Regions of Ghana to provide portable water, promote sanitation and hygiene practices, quality education and enhance food security.

World Vision Ghana (WVG) is looking for a highly qualified, proactive, motivated and resourceful person to fill the position of  Governance Advisor

Job Summary

•   To coordinate and process all legal and administrative requirements relating to the transitioning of World Vision Ghana Advisory Council into a full Board status, ensuring that all the World Vision International and the Government of Ghana legal and administrative requirements are complied with.
•   The position will also facilitate and document proceedings of the Board of Directors’ meetings and assist the Board with administrative and organizational tasks.

The Package

•   The position is based in Accra some level of travel.
•   The position comes with an attractive salary and benefit package.
•   S/He reports to the National Director.

Key Responsibilities
Include but not limited to the following;

•   Ensure that all parties’ reports are in at a timely manner for the Board, such as from Board Committees and National Director.  Reports should be submitted according to the Board meeting minutes, registered sheets.
•   Works with Board Chair and National Director to ensure steps are taken to meet criteria of Transition process; prepares all necessary documents for the transition dossier.
•   Manage Board budget, coordinate expense reimbursement for Board members and report annual budget to Governance Department
•   Facilitate internal communication between Board of Directors, National Director and the Senior Leadership Team.
•   Provide coordination and prepare logistics and materials for Board meetings and members
•   Work with National Director and the Board Chair to coordinate Board activities and programmes. (e.g. training, seminars, project visits etc).
•   Ensure necessary legal Board and organization documents are signed, copied, filed and up-to-date.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   First degree in Law or Business Administration.
•   3 - 4 years relevant working experience in similar position.

•   Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
•   Strong Legal background.
•   Ability to handle confidential information.
•   Ability to work with high profile personalities.
•   Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
•   Able to communicate clearly and sensitively with internal and external stakeholders.
