Job Vacancy For Headmaster/Headmistress At Ghana Armed Forces



Applications are invited from suitable, qualified, serving, professional teachers for appointment as Headmaster/Headmistress in a reputable Senior High School in the Ghana Education Service.

Responsibilities:

•   Provide Strategic and operational leadership to the school community
•   Ensure that teachers and students undertake learning in a conducive, safe and secure environment
•   Ensure the availability of adequate resources for the promotion of effective learning.
•   Handle the day-to-day administration of the school
•   Assign duties and monitor activities of both teaching and non-teaching staff in order to achieve set targets
•   Improve visibility of the school to increase enrolment and for long - term sustainability of the school.
•   Identify and address learning and development need of staff and recommend appropriate interventions.
•   Assess performance of staff and address issues of under and/or non - performance
•   Administer discipline to staff, when appropriate
•   Undertake subject/class teaching when need arises.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Applicant should be a professional graduate teacher with satisfactory work history and conduct within the Ghana Education service.
•   Applicant should have served at the rank of Deputy Director for at least two (2) years.
•   Applicant should have served as an Assistant Headmaster/mistress, Unit head at the  Headquarters, Office or an equivalent position for at least three (3) cumulative years.
•   Be not more than fifty-five (55) years at the time of applying for the position.
•   Possess postgraduate studies in Education or a second degree in a relevant field.
•   Computer literacy will be an added advantage.
