Job Vacancy For Human Resource Manager



Solidaridad seeks to recruit a highly qualified and motivated person for the position of Human Resource Manager for operations in Ghana and within the West Africa sub-region. As a business/strategic partner, the Human Resource Manager will design, implement and advise on human resource programmes and policies, including but not limited to recruitment and selection, performance management, compensation/benefits, training, development and employee relations. The person in this role shall remain current on international human resource management that is aligned with HR functions and best practices. The human resource professional must be competent in several human resource specialties and provide coaching to programme managers on HR best practices.

Reports to: Managing Director

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support, improve and implement HR policies and procedures that are aligned with the strategic organizational direction of Solidaridad.
• Facilitate the development of appropriate management application(s) and train employees on its use for enhanced self-service.
• Manage employee HR records and ensure it is updated regularly.
• Provide leadership in recruitment selection of new staff.
• Ensure that new hires and existing staff understand the organization’s culture and processes.
• Identify training and capacity needs of the employees using appropriate tools/systems and approaches to ensure best learning outcomes.
• Coach managers on how to instil a sense of responsibility and commitment in the employees they supervise.
• Assess employee health and wellness systems and other human resource related programmes and advise management periodically through written briefs.
• Lead the performance management systems of the organization and ensure regular feedback.
• Manage the exit process of staff to ensure smooth employee separation and conduct exit interviews in consultation with appropriate programme managers.
• Conduct a benefit and compensation survey periodically to ensure that the organization is competitive at all times.
• Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager.

Qualification Required & Experience

FORMAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE (COMPETENCIES)

• Master’s degree in Human Resource Management or other closely related fields.
• Minimum 5 years working experience in a similar position with an international organization.
• Demonstrated use and experience in managing staff within the context of Ghana Labour Law.
• Excellent command of MS-Office, Google suite.
• Ability to speak French will be an added advantage.
