Title: IP Engineer - IPE

Responsibilities

•   Execution and configuration of network routers and switches to implement IP/MPLS network including OSPF, MP-BGP, MPLS, Traffic Engineering and Quality of service
•   Support in designing core and access IP/MPLS Network infrastructure to support services which include Broadband, Metro Ethernet, carrier grade and ISP services
•   Develop and implement the reliability, availability and continuity processes for the IP/MPLS network and all relates services portfolio
•   Investigate incidence and restore any customer, carrier grade or ISP services outage or faults
•   Routine preparation and analysis of KPI reports reflecting the state of the IP/MPLS network to the business and other stakeholders
•   Support second and third tier escalations for all operational outages to ensure SLA target are met or exceeded

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic or Telecommunications Engineering or other related discipline
•   A postgraduate degree or professional certification will be an added advantage

Experience/Competency Required

•   Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience in core technical preferably in the Telecommunication industry
•   Experience in IP/MPLS Transport Networks for broadband and mobile services
•   Cisco certified network professional (CCNP)
•   Hands on experience configuring Alcatel, Cisco and Huamei Routers
•   In depth understanding of IP/MPLS networking including routing protocols (BGP,BGP-VPN, OSPF, IS-IS) in a service provider environment
•   Working knowledge of IP network QoS technology (DiffServ, RSVP, Queuing and Traffic Policing)
•   Working experience and knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Visio, Power Point, etc)
•   Possessions of Cisco CCIE or other Network/Security related certifications will be an added advantage
