Scope of work

The lawyer is responsible for a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the institutions interests are secured and promoted in all cases. He/she reports to the Head of Legal Department.

Key Responsibilities

•   Represents the institution in litigation /civil cases.
•   Responsible for loan documentation in respect to facilities granted.
•   Provide legal advice for management decision making.
•   Prepare legal agreements.
•   Prepare regular status reports for management.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   A good first degree (preferably LLB) and BL from a recognised University.
•   Must have a valid Solicitors license.
•   Minimum of 3-6 years relevant work experience.
•   Experience in a banking/financial institution would be an advantage.
•   High level of self-motivation and initiative.
•   Team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
•   Highly proficient in use of computer software such as MS Word and PowerPoint.
•   Candidate must be available to start work as soon as possible.
