Our company, formed by nationals and international group of investors committed to operate and maintain power plants sustaining high standards of environmental control, safety and reliability, is seeking for a power plant project in Kpone-Tema area, to recruit individuals that wants to grow professionally and with the requisites qualifications and experience for the following position: Lead Mechanical Engineer

Summary Job Responsibilities:

•   Adhere to plant operational policies and procedures for production goal achievement and handle work safely
•   Coordinate and plan site mechanical maintenance work on the Power Plant cost effectively in line with Plant Maintenance Policy
•   Ensure all work is carried out in safe manner to company standards, codes and practices
•   Manage a team of 4 employees
•   Oversee the activities of assigned personnel in the Mechanical section to execute planned and routine maintenance on plant equipment.
•   Use CMMS as a tool to plan work execute and update technical information for analysis and continous improvement
•   Troubleshoot plant problems, recommend engineering solutions
•   Provide technical reports to Management
•   Raise purchase and request for plant materials/spaces if necessary.
•   Prepare component/equipment repair procedures
•   Liaise with vendors/specialist agents to employ specialist services.
•   Mentor and develop team members
•   Identify training needs to site workforce.
•   Prepare operating/capital budgets and exercise control within close limits
•   Participate in HAZOPs, technical reviews, Risk Assessment, Safety Audits.
•   Use new technology to optimise resource ultilisation

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Mechanical Engineer degree with 10 or more years of experience in the field and 5 or more years of experience as a Mechanical leader
•   Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
•   A certain degree of creativity and autonomy is required
•   Leads and directs the work of others
•   Reports to Engineer manager
