Job Vacancy For LEAP Consultant At Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection (MoGCSP)



The LEAP consultant will oversee the LEAP Programme's Operations, applying professional principles, practices and techniques to lead the programme team and manage LEAP implementation schedules, costs, and performance risks to ensure consistency with the rules set out in the Program Operating Manual, strategy, commitments and goals.

Key Responsibilities

•   Manage and coordinate the planning and monitoring of the implementation of the programme in general.
•   Manage and coordinate  follow-up  activities, monitoring  the execution  of processes at the regional and district.
•   To promote absolute transparency in all processes of the programme.
•   Coordinate  with  the  civil  society  organizations  for their  participation  and community monitoring of the programme
•   Manage and coordinate the preparation of monitoring reports and programme
•   Manage and coordinate the preparation of monitoring reports and programme evaluation, and propose actions and reorientation of the processes required.
•   Propose adjustments to the operation of the Programme.
•   Coordinate the terms of recruitment consultants, evaluators, facilitators' or those professionals necessary to meet programme objectives.
•   Establish clear ownership for programme tasks, ensure that team members have the tools needed, and provide timely feedback.
•   Track progress and review programme tasks to make certain deadlines are
•   met appropriately. Conduct regular status meetings with all stakeholders, keeping the stakeholder's needs and requirements continuously in view.
•   Lead development and execution of programme work plans and timelines; revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements of the program.
•   Manage day-to-day operational aspects of the programme and scope.
•   Prepare regular status reports and distributes internally and externally, if necessary.
•   Manage the budget as well as allocates the resources.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   An advanced degree in public policy, social policy or management is required.
•   Candidates should furthermore have proven managerial experience of at least five years in a large social protection programme in an International, NGO, Public or For-Profit Organization.
