Ministry of Water Resources Works and Housing, Community Water and Sanitation Agency

MAIN DUTIES

•   Prepares draft memoranda and documentation for, and from, Board Meetings.
•   Develops and maintains formats for contracts.
•   Provides legal advice and represents the Agency in court.
•   Prepares and reviews draft contracts.
•   Provides legal advice on negotiations with government, external support agencies and other bodies.
•   Prepares legal briefs and opinion where necessary.
•   Reviews annual work-plans and budgets for the unit.
•   Prepares quarterly reports on the status of court cases of which the Agency is a party.
•   Prepares quarterly and annual reports on the activities of the unit.
•   Prepares drafts of legislations for consideration by the CWSA.
•   Performs any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.

Qualification Required & Experience

Applicant must have

•   Degree from a recognized University.
•   Professional Law Qualification (e.g. BL) recognized by the Ghana Legal Council; good standing membership of the Ghana Bar Association.
•   Minimum of five (5) year's post-qualification experience, with focus on Company Law including Contracting, Advocacy, Negotiation and Court Representation.
•   Experience in public administration would be an advantage.
•   Satisfactory performance at a selection interview
