Societe Generate Ghana Limited, your preferred banking institution and market leader in the financial services industry in Ghana with countrywide representation, is seeking to recruit a Legal Officer to provide professional support to the Bank in the management of Legal matters. This is to ensure that operations are handled within the Legal Framework and the Bank is protected in all its dealings.

Key Result Areas/Scope of Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Head of the Legal Department, the successful candidate will be required to:

•   Process pre-disbursement facility documentation for customers
•   Provide general Legal advice and support for the various functions of the Bank
•   Represent the Bank in Court and other regulatory institutions as well as initiate suits on behalf of the Bank
•   Ensure that all services provided to the Bank are covered by Legal Agreements
•   Review and renew tenancy agreements of the bank where necessary
•   Liaise with the Human Resource Department on Labor issues
•   Process the title documentation to all property owned by the Bank
•   Work on the Operational Risk and Compliance Reports of the Legal Department

Qualification Required & Experience

•   LLB or BA in Law or BL(Professional Qualification)
•   Must possess 2 years post qualification experience
•   Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
•   Must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure with strong organizational skills
•   Must be able to work in a team
•   Must have some knowledge in Banking and Commercial Law matters
•   Must demonstrate a good knowledge of law generally with some Litigation experience
