Job Vacancy For Legal Officer At West African Examinations Council



The West African Examinations Council, a sub-regional organization responsible for the conduct of various examinations in the English speaking West African Countries, invites applications from suitably qualified Ghanaians to fill vacant positions in its Ghana National offices.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Head of the Legal Unit and be expected to perform the following duties among others:

•   Drafting/reviewing contracts and other legal documents;
•   Conducting research on Legal issues;
•   Representing the Council in court and before quasi-judicial bodies;
•   Serving as member of Staff Investigation Committees;
•   Providing support to the Head of the legal unit and other division/departments to achieve the Council’s objectives;
•   Performing other duties that may be assigned.

Qualification Required & Experience

•   pplicant must have a good university degree and professional qualification in law and be a practicing advocate of the High Court of Ghana with at least three years experience.
