Job Vacancy For Librarian (SHS Graduate Can Apply) At Challenging Heights (Winneba)



Challenging Heights promotes youth and family empowerment and children's rights to education and freedom from forced labour in Ghana.

Challenging Heights in national NGO with a team of 76 employees working 40 fishing and farming communities across Ghana. As part of our expansion strategy we are looking for passionate and skilled team players to join us in the following area (all roles will be in Winneba):

Title: Librarian

Responsibilities

•   Maintain an up-to-date electronic catalogue of books
•   Keep library books and equipment organised
•   Support school staff in running weekly reading lessons
•   Organise registration of local school children
•   Providing an induction programme to all library users
•   Implement a secure lending system
•   Develop an outreach programme for local schools and communities
•   Organize motivational activities such as reading competitions and spelling bees

Skills/Competencies

•   Good organisational skills
•   Strong computer skills
•   Excellent communication skills
•   Ability to engage and manage children

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum SHS
•   Preferably Certificate A or Diploma
