Job Vacancy For Librarian At University of Mines & Technology (Tarkwa)



The Librarian is the Head of the University Library and is responsible to the Vice Chancellor for the day to day administration of the Library. The successful applicant must have had relevant experience in managerial and leadership positions in Library Studies preferably in a tertiary or analogous institution.

REMUNERATION
Conditions of service are as applicable in Government subvented universities of Ghana

Qualification Required & Experience

Candidates must possess at least a Master’s Degree in Library Studies or Information Science from a recognised University or analogous institution with not less than fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience. In addition, an applicant must have proven evidence of:

•   Strong leadership skills and dynamism;
•   Being a strategic thinker and takes initiative in policy formulation;
•   Being a team player with excellent interpersonal skills;
•   Good communications and excellent report writing skills;
•   High sense of responsibility and moral integrity; and
•   Experience in the use of Information and Communication Technology.

AGE LIMIT
The successful applicant should be able to serve a minimum of 4 years before the statutory retiring age of 60 years.
