Job Description

• Ensuring the approval and enactment of the marketing and commercial agreements for the OCTP, and other potential future developments in both domestic (Ghanaian) and international markets

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

• The ability to successfully liaise with government authorities, joint venture partners and company management to enable the transportation and processing of oil from the company's assets, particularly the OCTP field and its sale to market
• Understand the crude and liquids sales and related commercial agreements and ensure compliance with the relevant commercial operations (Liftings, sales, invoices, etc)
• Establish an understanding between the commercial and legal agreements required and obtaining approvals with the authorities
• Manage and control the scheduling programmes of Sankofa liftings
• The internal elements of the role are providing advice, support and a real direct contribution to drafting key agreements for the OCTP and other developments and liaising with finance and operations on the administration of the commercial agreements
• The external elements of the role is liaising with the authorities and providing advice, information and supporting negotiations and managing commercial operations with the partners

Qualification Required & Experience

• A university degree in a relevant engineering economics or geotechnical subject
• Professional qualification: Membership of appropriate industry/academic professional organisation
• 7 years experience in exploration and production in the international oil industry

Knowledge, Technical or Professional skills:

• Crude Oil commercialization
• Economics analysis
• conversant with various types of agreements
• Petroleum Agreement
• Lifting procedures
