Job Vacancy For Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator



We are currently seeking Monitoring & Evaluation Coordinator to be based in the Accra office for USAID-funded project. This position will be through April 2019

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Monitor closely the performance of the M&E field office team to ensure that they document all changes (both qualitatively and quantitatively) in line with the programme's M&E framework and guidelines for tracking the transformation process and ensure that all such data and information is posted correctly
• Train and assist the M&E field Officers and M&E Assistants to feed data into the MIS system
• Support the baseline, mid-term and final evaluations with support from project team. Support the collection and interpretation of information gathered and ensure that all information is collected in a valid, reliable and timely manner.
• Conduct spot checks on project activities to ensure proper and timely implementation of those activities, conforming to project objectives
• Provide technical assistance to ACDI/VOCA staff members and partner organisation's staff in the utilization and management of monitoring and impact assessment tools.
• Support identification of short-term technical assistance for M&E and assist in implementation recommendations
• Support the M&E team with the ADVANCE gender mainstreaming plan and environmental management plan to ensure they are incorporated into daily monitoring operations
• Work closely with regional coordinators, sector technical leaders and other staff to coordinate programme's activities effectively
• Contribute to the preparation and drafting of the quarterly and annual reports M&E components and any other project publications as required
• Using a team approach, support in formulating the M&E annual implementation plan, coordinate its implementation and use it to monitor and report on results

Qualification Required & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in sociology, development studies, agriculture, economics, agribusiness or statistics
• 5 years work experience, experience in an international setting or NGO
• Experience in working on agricultural projects funded by donors, particularly USAID
• Proven ability to design and implement M&E systems for commodity value chains
• In-depth knowledge of quantitative data collection, database management, and statistical analysis and of qualitative data collection and analysis, including focus groups, key informant interviews, case studies, etc
• Strong analytical skills, including ability to gather and analyse a variety of information pertaining to issues and to develop appropriate recommendations for action.
• High level knowledge/skills of Microsoft Office applications, SQL and SPSS
