Job Vacancy For Operations Manager



The company is seeking an Operations Manager. S/he will be responsible for overseeing company operations to ensure operational and financial efficiencies, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources. S/he will also work and own the business plan of the organization. S/he will report to the General Manager.

Tasks and Responsibilities

•   Develop operational plan to achieve operational goals like outreach and deposit mobilization, growing loan portfolio, ensuring loan recovery, profitability, and portfolio performance while understanding risks and opportunities in all operational areas;
•   Prepare quarterly, half- yearly business plans, review periodically and upper management on progress;
•   Prepare strategic plans to develop new markets;
•   Develop and design new products and ensure their smooth release to market;
•   Continually assess areas of geographical strengths and weakness and dynamically shift assets accordingly;
•   Act as a core member of the executive management team;
•   Oversee preparation and or updates of standard operating procedures/manuals for all aspects of operations and ensure that all employees follow the SOP;
•   Coordinate with risk team to be aware of risks to companies operations and develop plans to mitigate;
•   Implement audit findings and adopt measures to continuously improve operational efficiency.
•   Work with Loan Officers:
1)  To examine and evaluate financial statements and other credit-related information of individuals and or MSMEs to assess the risk involved in lending money to them.
2)  Determine the creditworthiness of individuals and MSMEs for purposes of arranging for a loan and conduct due diligence on individual and MSME loan applicants.
•   Lead and motivate a large team spread across a wide geography;
•   Train, mentor, coach  and develop junior staff to deliver
•   Evaluate performance of staff for compliance with established policies and objectives of the company and contributions in attaining organization's objectives;
•   Represent the organization at the appropriate business forums;

Qualification Required & Experience

•   At least 3 years of experience in strategic business planning and execution, with a track record of managing successful business operations or projects;
•   Skill in examining and re-engineering operations and procedures;
•   Experience in formulating policy, and developing, and implementing new strategies and procedures for operations;
•   Experience in managing cross functional teams;
•   Ability to manage, communicate and interact with peers, direct reports and team members and set an example;
•   Ability to motivate teams and inter personal skills to deal with internal and external agencies;
•   Experience in credit risk management and MSME credit assessment;
•   Share the belief that market based approaches can foster sustainable development;
•   Training and capacity building experience an added advantage
•   Must be Fluent in English with great written and verbal communication skills
•   Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel.
