Job Vacancy For Operations Manager At Cambridge Education



Job Profile     

The DFID-funded Girls – Participatory Approaches for Student Success in Ghana (G-PASS) programme is a four year project that will focus on the improvement of pre service teacher training sector in Ghana. This initiative in the long term seeks to improve education opportunities for girls by strengthening teaching practices in selected schools; promoting girl-friendly and learning-enabling schools; and securing better learning outcomes for students.

The Operations Manager will be expected to ensure that the G-PASS programme operations, logistics, human resources management, systems and general administration function effectively.
 
Job Description     

•   Oversee the running of office systems
•   Manage the procurement systems and procedures
•   Oversee the maintenance and organisation of the vehicle management system
•   Line-manage office administrative team in the Accra and Tamale offices
•   Liaise with Cambridge Education/Mott MacDonald administration as required for logistical, reporting, recruitment, procurement, contracting and quality assurance tasks.
•   Operationalise Integrated Management System (IMS) procedures
•   Ensure transparent and fully-auditable financial accountability and ethical procedures and standards are applied throughout the operations of G-PASS.
•   Contribute to programme reporting related to the areas above.
•   Promote healthy work ethics, good governance and anti-corruption behaviour
•   Oversee and quality assure the timely provision of office facilities and services, transportation, accommodation, bookings and service contracts
•   Manage the visa application process of non-Ghanaian technical staff
•   Manage workshop/study tour support to the technical team
•   Oversee the day to day logistical and security management of the consultant guesthouse
•   Process invoices, requests for payments and refunds for staff, consultants and vendors
•   Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Programme Team Leader

Qualification Required & Experience

Essential competencies / skills

•   Experience of setting up and maintaining operations and logistical procedures
•   Knowledge of the Ghanaian  immigration Service as well as previous experience in visa facilitation
•   Proven management experience leading small to medium sized teams
•   Ability to liaise efficiently with individuals and organisations to arrange and carry out programme administration functions
•   Experience in operating within environments with diverse cultures and practises
•   Ability to use computer systems and standard office software reliably, including organising and setting up systems for maintaining office electronic records
•   Willingness to learn and adopt Cambridge Education/Mott MacDonald norms, procedures and systems
