A reputable financial institution in Ghana Head Office in Accra is seeking to recruit high-performing professionals in the following fields:- Pharmacist

Job Purpose: To assist the head of the pharmacy in the effective and professional management of pharmaceutical and related services within the medical department.

Job Description

•   Assist the head of the pharmacy in the general management of the pharmacy and act in his absence
•   Perform immediate supervisory functions over pharmacy subordinates
•   Participate in and supervise dispensing activities of the pharmacy
•   Carry out inventory management duties in a technology enabled environment
•   Provide current and accurate drug information to prescribers, patients and other clinic staff
•   Prepare, store and assure quality of extemporaneous formulations for use at the clinic
•   Participate in the training of pharmacy interns

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Minimum of B.Pharm degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised educational institution
•   Post-graduate qualification in a relevant area of Healthcare/Pharmacy desirable
•   Mandatory registration with the Pharmacy Council (Ghana Pharmacy Professional Qualifying Exams)
•   Membership of Pharmaceutical society of Ghana required

Working Experience:

•   Minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience with an exposure in an institutional health facility.

Core Competences

•   Ability to apply both scientific and psychosocial theories and principles in delivering pharmaceutical service.
•   Ability to communicate with prescribers, patients, caregivers and other health care providers to engender a team approach to patient care
•   Possess demonstrable computer literacy
•   Be familiar with routine quality assurance procedures in pharamcy operations
