Responsibilities:

The successful applicant will report to the Project Director and will have the following responsibilities:

•   Site-based leadership of the Power Station Construction, Commissioning & Start-Up
•   Management of HV/LV electrical sub-contractors
•   Management of Instrumentation electrical sub-contractors
•   Management mechanical sub-contractors
•   Direct interaction with senior mine management
•   Direct interaction with Corporate office to report on progress/ budget
•   Direct interaction with process control consultants .
•   Direct interaction with Power Station design engineering groups
•   Negotiation and establishment of maintenance contracts

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Must have a Trade qualification in an electrical discipline
•   Internationally recognised Electrical Licence
•   Internationally recognised Driving Licence
•   Internationally recognised High Voltage SWitching & Operations Licence
•   Internationally recognised High voltage Polymeric Cable Termination & Joining Accreditation
•   Successful completion of at least two (2) power station construct and commissioning projects in a direct project management role (i.e. 100% responsible for the construction, commissioning & delivery of operating Power Station). Power Stations constructed must be in excess of ISMW capacity.
•   Over 5 years' experience in project managing and commissioning new electrical installations in a mining environment
•   Experience in managing the installation and commissioning of Overhead reticulated 11 & 33kVA HV powerlines
•   In excess of 15 years real experience in installing, commissioning, maintaining and managing high voltage electrical equipment
•   Past experience in the management of small to medium sized multi- discipline contractors i.e. mechanical, civil.structural & electrical
