A reputable Financial institution (non-bank) is seeking to recruit qualified individuals to fill the following position: Procurement Officers

Job Purpose

The procurement officer provides procurement expertise and assists stakeholders to plan, develop, source and manage procurement arrangement to effectively meet organisational and business objectives

The Role:

• Provide advice, information and guidance on procurement related matters to Management and staff to support good practice in procurement issues
• Explain procurement processes and requirements to management and staff to persuade same to adopt best practice, given the complexity of procurement and the time-pressured working environment
• Conduct sourcing activities in accordance with established policies and procedures to meet business needs
• Participate in negotiations to establish and review supply arrangements that will deliver value for money procurement outcomes
• Identify and mitigate procurement risk to enable the organization meet its obligations and maximum business opportunities
• Solicit for quotations and prepare indents for approval.
• Maintain and update procurement records and generate reports on procurement and contract activities to meet organizational compliance requirement
• Provide reports, analyses and advice to support decision making
• Perform any other duties that maybe assigned from time to time

Qualification Required & Experience

• Have a good First Degree in the humanities or HND (Purchasing & Supply) from a recognised tertiary institution
• Have a minimum of 5 WASSCE/SSSCE/GCE "O" level credits including English and Mathematics
• A minimum of 2 years work experience
• Be between the ages of 28 to 40 years and be energetic
