Job Vacancy For Procurement & Stores Manager



Applications are being invited from eligible candidates for the following position in a reputable public service institution: Procurement & Stores Manager

Key Responsibilities

•   Discovers the most profitable suppliers and initiate business partnerships
•   Negotiates with external vendors to secure the most advantageous terms
•   Controls spend and build a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs.
•   Anticipates unfavorable events through analysis of data and prepare control strategies
•   Performs risk management regarding supply contracts and agreements
•   Tracks and reports key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness

Qualification Required & Experience

•   Degree in Business administration or posses professional qualification from the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS).
•   Minimum 6 post qualification practice and experience in the field of Procurement and stores management in a major enterprise.
•   Excellent working knowledge working knowledge of the Public Procurement Act, 2003 (ACT 663) and its procedures.
•   Working knowledge of contract administration
