Job Vacancy For Resident Medical Officer At Graphic Communications Group Ltd



We are looking for a dynamic and results oriented individual who will provide medical care for employees and their dependents within the framework of budgetary provisions, company policies, work procedures, medical ethics and overall business development strategy of GCGL

Key Accountabilities

•   Provide medical care to staff and dependents ensuring that the service is efficient and cost effective
•   Compile monthly report and the disease pattern as presented by the attendees to the clinic to facilitate planning for drug purchases and any remedial action that needs to be taken
•   Vet prescriptions and medical claims from outside the clinic by staff and dependents and endorse for payment to safeguard the abuse of the company's medical scheme
•   Co-ordinate medical care for staff in the regions and manage outsource relationships with pharmacies and hospitals
•   Provide occupational health services to staff
•   Organise annual medical screening for staff, discuss and disseminate results to staff and present a report to management
•   Compile annual reports and provide strategic directions to improve the health of staff and dependents
•   Support annaual Corporate social responsibility programmes
•   Provide preventive health services to staff and dependents
•   Administer the clinic and ensure that the human and material capabilities are put to the best use of the company

Experience / Skills / Competencies required

•   Must be a team player with a high sense of commitment and honesty
•   Must possess good communication and interpersonal skills
•   Ability to work under minimum supervision and under pressure
•   Proven ability to manage people and resources and be able to relate to staff and dependents
•   Possess good medical diagnostic abilities
•   Good and effective leadership and managerial skills

Qualification Required & Experience

•   An MB ChB Degree from an accredited Medical School
•   Five (5) years post qualification relevant experience gained from working in a dynamic environment
•   A postgraduate training in Family Medicine, Public Health or Occupational health would be an advantage
